MOODI'S Story
Moodi was established off my undeniable passion and natural flare for all things interiors and wellbeing. My desire to create beautiful, unique interiors that were also great for body, mind and soul started off as a little quiet, but niggling voice in my head. One that I tended to drown out for many years because it just seemed too farfetched at the time. I had forged a successful career in the health and wellbeing field, was financially comfortable and had a great life. So why would I give that up? But in the end, I couldn't deny that my gut feeling was telling me I had to explore a new path, a path that truly sparked joy in my heart and fulfilled my soul.

At first, I was too scared to take the leap of faith towards a career in interior design, so I expressed my skills, passion and talent elsewhere, getting stuck into an array of DIY projects and quenching my thirst for creation and design. This often meant many a mood boards in my spare time, helping out friends and family with their interior styling projects, and to my partners' dismay, plenty of home interior upgrades including full home staging for two of our properties! I also even created my business ABN way ahead of time as a marker to one day make it a reality! Settling on the name 'Moodi' truly felt right, as it was a way of honouring and being proud of the sensitive, emotional and deep soul I have always been. A times, it felt like being highly sensitive was considered a weakness, but I have come to discover that it is nothing less than a superpower and gift to offer the world. I also wanted a name for my business that stood for the importance of curating soulful, feel-good homes that represent those that reside there. Not cookie-cutter spaces devoid of feeling.
After moving to our dream hobby farm in Garfield and suddenly finding myself in my mid 30's (eek!), I came to the realization that the little voice in the back of my head was not going anywhere sister! My intuition was powerful and was telling me to live my life to the full, reconnect to my authentic self and follow my calling!
So, it was that moment that led me to take the plunge. I left my work and took a year off to study an accredited Interior Decorating Course with the International School of Design (ISCD). Taking this time was magic too. It helped me to gain perspective of how life should be lived, and I started to align to my true core, passions, values and purpose, finding healing and growth along the way. There is something so empowering about stepping out of your comfort zone to embark on a new and exciting chapter. It also allowed me the space to enjoy designing and remodeling our kitchen which both my partner and I enjoy each and every single day.

It was during the course that I really was able to build my skillsets and experience with a vast range of mediums and techniques, finessing my interior design style and business vision throughout the process. It was during this time that I recognized my love for curating earthy yet contemporary modern spaces that sparked joy. Combining my extensive knowledge on health, wellbeing and psychology, strong values towards sustainability and eco-conscious choices, and robust experience in project and client management, Moodi Interiors was born!

I am so grateful for all the support, love and kindness I have received along my interior design journey and look forward to helping many of my clients to create their perfect, hygge spaces.

Lots of love, Loz xxx
a bit about me
Hi! I'm Loz. I have known I have always been a creative soul and passionate about curating beautiful spaces that speak to mind, body and soul. I discovered that my passion has always been brewing, extending all the way back to childhood when I found myself getting very particular about how to showcase a range of pamphlets on a display table. I was extremely proud of my display and really enjoyed setting it up so that it looked great visually and also worked well for my presentation. Everything had its place, spaced out evenly and immaculately. It's safe to say that I was wayyyy more into the display presentation than my primary school peers, who probably were confused why I was repositioning the pamphlets for a 5th time! This was the beginning of many moments in which interior design and decorating became a natural love of mine!
Outside of interior design, I am grateful to own my dream hobby farm in West Gippsland with my hubby Shan, along with our horses (Bam, Garfield and Jazz) and our fur-babies (Bear, Marley and Orla). They are our absolute lives and truly bring joy and love to every single day. I also pretty much enjoy every music genre (with the exception of death metal :P), love to sing, dance, stay active and life a healthy, natural and authentic lifestyle.
On the weekend, you can find me tending to my demanding but rewarding veggie and herb patch, enjoying a ride on one of my gorgeous horses, getting stuck into a home project, out for a good avo brunch and coffee, taking a dip at a local beach and/ or enjoying special cozy time at home with loved ones and the pups.
